Janira Skrbkova is a third-year journalism major at Northeastern University. She serves as lifestyle editor of The Huntington News, Northeastern's independent, student-run paper and culture editor of The Avenue Magazine, the university's premier fashion and culture publication. She previously worked as a communications co-op at Massachusetts Peace Action, the state affiliate of the nation's largest grassroots peace organization. From civic reporting to pop culture, Janira covers a wide range of topics, with a particular passion for human-interest storytelling. In her free time, she can be found café hopping or browsing vintage stores for one-of-a-kind pieces.
